Anekwu Dubem Casper: The Nigerian Registered Nurse Building a Career in Healthcare

Anekwu Dubem Casper, also known as Dreamworks, is a Nigerian Registered Nurse from Adazi-Ani, Anambra State, whose professional journey has taken him through clinical training, emergency nursing, perioperative nursing, and healthcare leadership.

Anekwu Dubem Casper completed his early education at Asaf Primary School, GRA, Onitsha, before attending Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha, where he obtained his WAEC certificate. He later obtained a JUPEB certificate from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

In 2024, he graduated from the College of Nursing Science, St. Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital, Onitsha, also known as Shannahan University.

Following his nursing education, Casper obtained his professional nursing license and verification through the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). He also obtained Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications in 2024.

Clinical Experience

Anekwu Casper gained clinical experience across several healthcare institutions during his professional training in 2025. His clinical exposure included St. Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital, Onitsha, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Enugu, and Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu.

His experience across these institutions provided exposure to different areas of patient care and healthcare practice.

He later completed his internship at Holy Rosary Hospital land Maternity Waterside Hospital, where he worked in the operating theatre as a Perioperative Nurse.

Emergency Nursing and Leadership

In April 2025, Casper joined New Hope Hospital, Onitsha, where he worked as an Emergency Nurse.

His work in emergency care involved providing patient-centered nursing care in an environment that requires effective communication, teamwork, clinical judgment, and the ability to respond appropriately to urgent situations.

His dedication, diligence, empathy, and work ethic subsequently contributed to his promotion to the position of Head of Unit.

The leadership role provided an opportunity to develop further skills in coordination, teamwork, accountability, and professional leadership within a healthcare environment.
